Causes of Acute Low Back Pain
An Acute Low Back Pain attack depends on several factors. The cause of Low Back Pain (lumbago) is the inability of the joint chain of the lower back to work together properly. Below are a few examples of risk factors for lumbago.
- Overburdened back (work / driving / tension)
- Moving the (lower) back incorrectly (for a long time)
- Sudden movement (bending or twisting of the back)
- Stress
- Doing untrained heavy work
- Poor physical condition (passive)
- Presence of a hernia in the (lower) back
Treatment for Acute Low Back Pain
Acute Low Back Pain often passes by itself, but that does not solve the cause of the problem. With acute Low Back Pain, it is wise not to seek out the pain, but to keep moving. The real problem is that residual damage remains, which can manifest itself as, among other things, ‘instability’ of the (lower) back or permanent complaints.
Several factors can be the cause of your (acute) back pain. For example, your daily lifestyle with incorrect use of your back can be the cause of your back pain. Your back expert will make it clear to you where your complaints come from so that you too can understand what the cause of your back complaints really is. Subsequently, a personal treatment plan will be drawn up that suits you.
